Firefox -- Thunderbird

When I'm writing an email in Thunderbird, Firefox disappears from the task bar down below, even though it's still open? Am I the only one with this issue?

i have had ther same problem with some different programs and i found out that it is just a bug in them. if you still need to access it when it has disappeared off the taskbar just hold down alt and press tab to toggle through the applications open instead of minimizing everything else to get to firefox
