FireFox is good, i dont plan on going back to IE anytime soon.

I don't have any problems with FireFox. So i am very happy with it.

What do you use for receiving/sending your emails? Outlook Express? Thunderbird?
I say this because Mozilla is a complete suite, perfectly integrated, which can be considered the elder brother of Firefox...

Most schools won't let you install anything at all, if they have an common sence that is. So when your at school you will have to deal with ie. What a shame those people working at schools don't know that the students need ff

I've never had any problems with IE. I have no spyware, and no viruses (As far as spybot, ad aware, and trendmicro are concerned). But of course, I also have Opera, Firefox, and Netscape. I use opera because it allows me to refresh the page every certain x amount of seconds. That's handy sometimes. I use firefox on my other much old computer, because it just runs better, and the computer has a thing for getting spyware and firefox helps with stopping that. Netscape is just there, never to be used, but to be looked at.

I'm a fan of Firefox and Open Source projects in general. It's the old David vs. Goliath with the browser wars. Firefox's tabbed browsing finally pulled me away from IE, like it did to many of you I suspect. I've never liked the slow start of it though, and I go crazy when the pages do not load correctly, which is rare knowadays. If you were to use both browsers without any tabbing I believe IE is faster at loading the pages. Firefox is very appealing and getting better by the day. I can put up with the slight clunkiness, because it will become more refined. Some of it is probably my own fault because I can't make it walk & talk like IE yet, but I haven't spent near as many hours surfing with it either. I'm starting to argue with myself.

Having said all of that, what do you guys think about the talk of googles new browser? Thoughts... Comments
We will really have something to debate then , huh?
Intelliot has already posted basically the same article on this and I will remove it if it's too redundant, There are a few points in it though that I wanted to highlight that pertain to this thread of comparing/debating browsers.

Google Browser - Playing Ruthless with Redmond

Quote:
Google is most likely developing an web browser of its own to compete with Microsoft's Internet Explorer. This will allow Google to "brand" a user's experience, much like Microsoft does today. (Look at the top of your browser. About 90% of you will see the words "Microsoft Internet Explorer") Google has recently introduced its own Email system known Gmail and offers a host of other features that could be incorporated into a browser. The development of a Google web browser is much like Microsoft developing its own search engine. It is a direct challenge to a major rival and a smart move leading up to the next major phase of the search engine war, expected next spring. Here's the background on the browser story.

Google has a great deal invested in its engineering staff. Their resumé filtering process for engineers is the stuff of legends and is designed to allow only the brightest to solve their way through a series of mathematical puzzles. Joining those who solved the puzzles are a number of notable new staff members personally headhunted and recruited from other tech firms. According to a report in Digital Media Europe, Google has hired Java pioneer Joshua Block away from Sun Microsystems, Adam Bosworth and four others from Microsoft's Internet Explorer development team, and in a major coup, one of Microsoft's lead developers on the Longhorn OS, Joe Beda. This sudden grouping of famous IT engineers, combined with Google's April 2004 registration of the domain name "gbrowser.com] gives a great deal of credibility to the rumour. Google has also dedicated a substantial amount of time, attention and money to the Mozilla community. Mozilla is an open-source browser. Open-source software allows developers to work with the software-code to improve or change the product. By offering resources to Mozilla developers, Google may be micro-funding the creation of what becomes the backbone of a Google-branded browser. Google users would likely accept and use a Google browser, especially if it is based on the current tech favourite, Mozilla. Once they have converted from IE to Google's product, directing their interest will be as easy as tracking their movements, two important components in making the bottom line.
A google gecko is in the making.

Well, there's an extension you can use with Mozilla products to reload a page (you specify the amount of minutes or seconds you want it to run).
