Analytics Inconsistent with Adwords?

Hi,

So I have been analysing Google Analytics for several of our clients and noticed that the stats presented by Google Analytics seems to differ from the stats displayed by Adwords?

Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I get the impression from talking to a few people that this is a common problem but if this is not the case I will go into more detail about which reports are inconsistent.

Can anyone expand on this please?

Thanks

Tom

I've experienced this too. Not sure why, but they don't always match up.

analytics just plain sucks.
just kidding!

I've been comparing my data from clicky with google analytics, and it seems to sync up fairly well on a graph, although clicky usually has less, but that's probably a reliability problem since clicky is so new and doesn't have much funding.

I'm going to start using hittail pretty soon too, for finding those odd keywords.

I use multiple site stat sources and find that there can be as much as a 20% discrempancy between the highest and lowest reports of the same page. I also noticed that adwords reports were always much higher click-through than what any of the site stats reported. For this reason, I stopped using adwords.

Before becoming an Adsense user I became and adwords publisher, and I decided make a request for a Google analytics account. My invitation came almost two months ago, but it was until a little while that I actually decided to use it. First I was not sure on using the account, my intention was to use it on the site I currently have the most earnings in Adsense, but after reading about this and hearing comments on some people telling that there were no worries I said, "well, ill try it one week".
