Using 2 profile tracking code snippets on 1 web page
Does anyone know if Google Analytics (GA) supports multiple tracking codes for one web page? Here is the scenario.
We have 2 domains: www.domain.com and offers.domain.com. These domains are setup as separate profiles in GA -> 1) www and 2) offers. Each has a similar ecommerce funnel consisting of 4 steps, however, the last step (G4/confirmation) for offers redirects to www. In theory, I should still be able to track the funnel for offers even if it points to the confirmation page on www. Here is the what I plan on placing on the www confirmation page (actual data shortened for sake of simplicity) <!-- google analytics (www) --> ... _uacct='UA-XXXXXX-8'; <!-- google analytics (offers) --> ... _uacct='UA-XXXXXX-9'; Does anyone know if GA will properly track the funnel metrics is this code is implemented or will GA be confused? |
