Analytics reliability

how reliable is google analytics? Doen someone know if there is proof that the figures are correct?

I'm satisfied with it....besides its google don't need a proof.. well thats my opinion..

Yeah but if the statstics are fake.. or arent right.. i want to know

i use 2 stat-programs, analytics and statscom.. on analytics i have 4000 pageviews and on sitecom 6000 ? :S wtf?

Try three different analytics systems you will get three different answers. Some have longer cookie sessions, some don't use cookies, and some use cookies and milk and leave some for Santa Claus. Find one, stick with it and let it be your standard. If you have GA set up correctly it is pretty accurate, and you know they will continue to improve it.
