Tracking Email Promotion Clicks

Hi,

I have been using GA for about a year to track movement on appx 25 web sites.

I have a question regarding email promotions. I send emails with each link tagged. Therefore when I look at my reports in GA I should see where my visitors have come from...and it should tell me whether they came from the latest email promo.

This does work, but I get a lot of rogue ones on there too. For example, if there is an event happening in March and I send the promo out in February, I might call it FebEmail for instance. I do the same for another event and call it JanEmail. When I look at the reports for the March event I expect to see those who have come from the FebEmail only. Instead, I will see a small number who have come from the JanEmail.

I know that's a bit confusing so I hope you understood.

Does anyone know why this happens and how I can avoid it? It's making my reports rather 'busy'.

Dear, that is not confirm that each email sent on Jan will be read in January only. People who are lazy read your mail in March and the tracking code is set for janmail, so you are getting JanMail value in March. .. Got it.
