new sitemap lower rating?

hey I just added a site map to my site and since then my site has dropped 2 positions on google does anyone know why?

It should be a Google update.
You probably know that every day a thousands of sites got published and added in Google.

In order to keep your positions you have to update your site with new content.
You can start by checking what new features have implemented sites above yours.

Submitting sitemap will help your site to be crawled thoroughly.

Slavi has good comment, there's a lot of case right now regarding loss of ranking but mostly return to normal after few days/week, better keep those quality content and backlinks coming.

I have just updated my sitemap just now.I don't think it will affect ranking.
