Newbie with a question
Hi all!
I have just joined the community and here is a little bit about myself. I am a Web Analyst who also deals with all the natural search aspects of SEO for a financial services company in the UK. I have been doing this job for 3 months and am enjoying it very much. The stats packages we have here are Web Trends and GA. I like GA so we dumped Web Trends. I do have a problem though and was hoping someone could help me. I have done a search to see if this has been asnwered before so apologies if it has, I didn't find it. Ok on with the problem: I have two domains www.mysite.com and www.othersite.com. In the referrers area of GA it is showing www.othersite.com as a referrer and sending traffic through to mysite.com. When I click onto that URL (www.othersite.com) in referrers and then onto Goal Conversion, is this showing how many Goals were achieved by the user coming from www.otheriste.com onto www.mysite.com? Silly question I know but I am not convinced that the data that is showing is not an overal for the Goal rather than specifically from that domain. If it is from that domain, how does it track it? Looking forward to your reply and many thanks in advance Jo |
