Another visitor stats issue

Hi

I am trying to find a reason for a big decline in visitor numbers on Google Analytics for the month of September. The number declined by 60% of the usual monthly visitor number.

I cannot find any reasons for this occurence. There were visitors to the site and in the same regions as previous months around the world, but the actual numbers decreased in each area. There were only 2 days with 0 visitors (Saturday and Sunday) which might indicate a downtime of the sight - but we don't get many visitors on those usually. The actual numbers dropped over each day overall in the month.

Someone - please help me figure this out! Luckily it is picking up again, but I would like to understand why that happened. There wasn't much change in our e-marketing campaigns over that period either.

Hi Tam!
This problem is almost the same as what you've posted a while ago...

BTW, have you checked the google analytics code/script within your web page?

Hi

Tried to delete this one but couldn't. The page broke while I was posting, so I thought it didn't get posted. My mistake.

What exactly should I check with the script? It was working at the time since we did get some hits. Haven't changed anything within the script since its been added to the site.

I did have filters that were running for our internal IP addresses when we were on static IPs - we did move office during that period and our IPs changed and are now dynamic. Could the filter have malfunctioned in some way and excluded more people than it was supposed to? Since then I have changed the filters, but our numbers were picking up again before I made this change.
