Migrating website to a new url. How to change Google Analytics account...

Hi There,

I am migrating a website from the existing URL to new URL. I have set up a google analytics account for the existing URL and been tracking everything. I would like to know how to change the account in google analytics so to start recording activity on the new URL rather than the existing one.

Please let me know if you need any other information.

Thanks - Zahid

copy the existing profile (add profile, select add new profile for existing domain), rename it something like "new domain for xxx", and change the profile settings by editing the url it's pointing to - you should be set. no need to get a new GA account number.
