Bounce and Exit
Hello, I am new here and I know this may have been asked in different ways before however I am not finding my answer anywhere. I will give you some background first.
My site is myhomeisworth.co.nz. Index.html is the only page I would like people to land on and when I search google this is the only page that shows up. When they enter the code they go through to formpage.php Now here are the bounce and exit questions. Home page has 195 unique pageviews, bounce 13%, exit 18%. formpage has 168 unique pageviews, bounce 83%, exit 21%. I thought the bounce rate was from people entering to that page and then leaving from that page. Is this correct? If so I am not sure how they are finding that formpage in the first place? Then after they submit the form they are taken to another page which shows 78 unique pageviews, 0% bounce, exit 71%. The 78 unique page views ties in with the amount of form submissions I am getting. So the question is, how come 46% (of the 168 of the unique users are coming through to this submitted page, yet the stats show over 83% leaving before they get this far?? Can anybody make sense of this for me please? Cheers Last edited by debtless; 04-20-2009 at 01:31 PM. |
