Question on Google Analytics
Hello,
I have a few pages which did not have the Google Analytics javascript tracking code earlier. They now have them. But if I need historical statistics(visitor data) of these pages when the tracking code was not on,how can I get them(if I can get them at all)? Please advise. Thanks |

krish123venkat,
You will not be able to retrieve historical traffic/visitor data through Google Analytics during the periods when the tracking script was not activate and part of your page. G.A. only captures and retains its data while the GA_JS script is present. In order to get any traffic and visitor data outside of Google Analytics will require you to contact your Hosting Provider and ask them how you can gain access to your logs files to see this information. There any a number of analytical and reporting tools that are often times present on your web server and are generally part of your hosting plan. Ask your HSP if you can view the data in Webalizer, AWStats, Analog or some other 3rd party software. Good luck. |
