Join The “flock”: Another Browser Out To Beat Firefox &
The latest challenger to Internet Explorer and Firefox aims to beat the big guys by emphasizing blogging, networking, and online communities From So there we have another Browser “FLOCK” Its Still in beta version and is has been released to only a few.
The Browser Wars seems to Go On and On service : And this One seems Pretty darn interesting its been Termed as a “Social Browser” which means that you can use the browser directly to post on Flickr like Flickr, Technorati and del.icio.us . and any other application that supports a Web service other examples would include Blogging tools Like Wordpress, B2evolution, Blogger which all support XML-RPC or some kind of XML API url"http://www.flock.com/developer/ |

There are a few mailing lists, blogs, bug report and wiki sites, etc. if you're interested in the development of the browser which is , quite literally being changed and worked on day to day. For example, I got over the excitement of the first build pretty quickly, especially since major updates came, sometimes, a couple of times in a day. But I stayed subscribed to the "Flockstars" mailing list, as it's a fascinating insight into a new product. It's a great 'insider's view' of the work of some very clever people. All of these (and the browser downloads) are freely available. |

Interesting, didn't think that many would use the mozilla core in a diff way of firefox. Does this give any other benefit? IE 7 and current/future firefox releases will have XML API's embedded and RSS feeds along with blog and email direct interfaces. What will the choice be?
I currently use firefox, could we get a poll on the Google Community's browser usage? I liked the screen resolution. Also I am new and very happy to see all the wonderful threads! |

There have been a couple of "favourite browser" polls, in the General Computer forum. Possibly, aslo in General Discussion (I'd have to check).
I don't believe Flock has ever been offered as an option, though. And thus far, Firefox has always come out the clear winner. No surprises, there. If you can think of a comprehensive list of selections that are substantially different from previous one, you could always start your own poll. But please search first, and place it in the appropriate forum. |
