I already said something like this, except I told him the exact files to put the code in, in the first reply.
In phpBB, if he put the tracking code in the main content page(s) he'd have to put the code in index_body.tpl, viewforum_body.tpl, and viewtopic_body.tpl to cover the whole forum. So in this case, putting the Javascript in the 'main content' page is not the best option, since there is more than one.

Yeah, and I'd definately recommend the footer. If you put it in the header and their site lags, it will lag your site... but if it's in the footer it doesn't matter.

... if that makes any sense. haha
