PHP Script?

I have heard that if you make a login you need to make a php script called login.php I was wondering if anyone can tell me what I can do to make a login on my site and how to edit it.

No one is that good with php. And personally I don't like to code it. For me, im sticking with html.

BTW: Im me so I can send you the layout.

O well im just wondering becuase I am looking for logins or password gates as they are sometimes called.

You don't have to use the name 'login.php'. You don't even have to make a seperate file, it's just easier to maintain that way.

Since you're obviously new to writing php, I suggest you just do a search for an already made login script.

Well making a just login site... or script is as simple as checking database->>creating a cookie->>done... logged in...

I can give some examples but I'll have to talk to you about your real idea... the entire Idea...
