Including header file using HTML

Is it possible to include a header and footer file using HTML? I have my file as a .html and need to be able to include the HTML for the header and footer. Anyone know how I can do this?

You could use frames, but that's often considered an annoyance.

Smile If not scription, then ssi

Ash has it right, there are lots of tutorials on ssi out there. I searched with ssi #include file. HTML Goodies has both a test and some sample information at http://www.htmlgoodies.com/beyond/we...hp/3473341#can.

You may be better served with a scripting language such as php. It depends on what is available on your host system.

HTH!
