I don't think there is a readymade solution for this issue.... the best thing you can do is design the css template compatible to every browser....!!!

Are you using the most current version of IE? The latest version 7.0 is in the link below.

Very rare, all you can do to have a very organized website with CSS is to test it time to time using your website editor like Dreamweaver or frontpage then load it in your iexplore.

Could the W3 validator help?

Maybe you could get a hint or suggestion at jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator

Sadly, not everyone has upgraded to the newer (just as crappy) IE, so you have to code it to work with IE 6, 7 firefox. Just because you upgrade, doesn't mean everyone will.

IE 6 has alot of problems reading css. Padding is usually off by alot. You just have to work your way around it, and sometimes take something out that may look good in one browser, but not the other.

In terms of CSS, Internet explorer is very poor. Do not rely on IE, instead use firefox or other web browsers to check on CSS.

Possible help, also...I neglected to mention

See the book, CSS Hacks & Filters, for ways you can set up your CSS to work the same in several browsers...One case, as mentioned above: when you specify, say "width: whatever;" one browser may take it as width *outside* the padding plus margins, and another browser may take it as width *inside* the padding plus margins...bad news!

Question

I've been developing sites since dinosaur era, and may I ask you a very stupid question - "How do you see that IE found an error in CSS?".
Really, I'm surprised, is there a plug-in for IE that I don't know was existing?
