forums
just out of curiosty, i have always wondered how these forums are made, i know you guys use phpbb and sql or some kind of database, if anyone knows where there are tutorials (just for learning, dont have a host to make one) can u give me a link

Well, first of all you can check out phpBB.com itself. Secondly, you will want to look into general website creation.
Basically, you need: 1) Domain name 2) Web hosting Your hosting needs to include PHP/MySQL support. Then you can install scripts such as phpBB. |

but is mysql hard, or pretty simple, i was trying to make one for my dad, for his site, but i found it quite hard to find a tutorial to show me how to make a sql database, like i know there are probably some ready made scripts, but i want to know a thing or two about mysql juts for knowledge

It's quite simple. There is no coding to do at all with something such as phpBB. You download it, upload it where you want, create a SQL database and have the info in the forum installation point to the database, then follow the instructions that came with phpBB.

i use an all around website tool. I like to use php nuke. It comes bundled with tons of stuff including phpbb. I have unlimited hosting so i have no worries on databases and such.

if you have cpanel for your website and have phpbb in the scripts library then you dont needa know anything about mysql
