And learn about many different products. Don't just stick to one or two pieces of software. Do everything! 3D graphics, vector graphics, animated graphics, etc... You should also try participating in on-line challengs- that can be fun, as well as rewarding.

Try out something which is new in the market and also something of your liking. If required seek help from your colleagues and just stay focused while trying that.
