background problem

Hi everyone,

When i add text to my page in dreamweaver and it goes past the size of the background image everything gets knocked out of shape, how do i make it so that when i and the text the background just extends?

any ideas

Did you use css?

Erm well i created the layout in photoshop and sliced it up. once i did that i saved it ready4web and opened it in dreamweaver. When i saved it, it gave me a folder with all the images in it and a html file.
