Looking for free internal search for my site

I'm after a free internal search for my website, I would also like it to have a spell checker. If you know of any scripts or what ever please let me know.
Cheers,
Phiz

you can use google search api but i dont think it has a spell checker.
atom search was a good option before google came along and took over the #1 spot. you could probably give it a shot too.

Sphider - a php spider and search engine

Sphider is a good script, but may not have spell checker.

or you can use the google custom search;

I've tried sphider and it doesn't spell check very well. Like it wouldn't pick up controll, just said no results. Also because I'm not a php expert I have no idea how to integrate it.

The problem I have with google is its not internal. It can't be integrated into our site as far as I know and that is the major option we want.

I'll have a look at atom now

i used google search a very long time ago. but i still remember that it can be customized to match your website. if im not wrong, the results will be received in the form of xml and the you use php and xslt to style it accordingly.

Free website search

I've recently come across a free search tool for any website indexed by Google. I uses google's custom search engine and allows you to customize the colors of the search results to closer match the website you're using it for.

It's really simple to setup and i've used it quite a few times by now. You put in the domain, select a few colors and generate a small bit of code to place in your website. You don't have to do anything else.

Check it out Free Website Search
