PC display as a notice board - sql table as data source

Hi,

I want to set up a PC to display the status of all priority jobs, created in a sql database application.
I need to be able to format the display presentation and have the data refresh at a defined time interval. Also, if data is greater then one full screen, then, autoscroll data.

One line of text (extracted from sql table fields or file ) would represent each job.

Any help would be appreciated even if you know of a utility that performs this function or similar function on any file format.
