when can I removed 301 redirect ?

Hi All, I had put 301 redirect on some pages.
1-I wanted to know if I can drop the 301 redirect at any stage (say after 3-4 months)?
3- Will this affect my rankings (assuming rankings were back after 3-4 month of redirection)

yes, you can drop such 301 redirect anytime you want, but it will surely affect your ranking 301 redirect are SEO friendly.

Just remove the redirect from your webserver configuration or program anytime. But has harrysmith pointed out, it will affect your ranking. I prefer to keep the 301s in place until all backlinks for the redirecting URLs are gone.

You can remove them ONLY when you see the new links are updated in google indexing.
otherwise your work will be for nothing.
