Delphi 7 help...

I got Delphi 7 and I'm hearing by word of mouth that its a fantastic programming language...but I have no knowledge of it ....The tutorials on sites are very hard to understand and it would be great if someone explains with source code as easily as possible how to program a simple application....

So you’ve observably searched the internet looking for beginner tutorials on how to program in Delphi I’ll have a go of looking for some but probably some already knows of somewhere already. I’ve used it before and it didn’t seem that hard but I did not go into depth with it as I was busy at the time and still am.

Hi Eric,

You should start by asking yourself if it is good for you learning this language, I'm already a Delphi programmer, and i can tell you that it is not SO good, it is better than programming with visual basic, but not much better than using C++ Builder (borland of course) or Java, because there are some things that change and are a little tricky.

I would suggest making a search of "Delphi programming tutorial", at Google of course, there will be a lot of pages, but most of them are for former versions, in fact, there are so few Delphi 7 tutorial, that you might never reach it...

Try any basic tutorial, because Delphi comes from Pascal, you first need to learn Pascal, and to do so, any version of Delphi tutorial will help.

Then you might think on getting help on some specific subject, in that case, leave a message in this forum and PM me so I can be of help .
