php problem

I have two phpBB forums, and both are giving me exactly the same arror message, even though they are not connected in any way: They both say,

Failed sending email :: PHP ::

DEBUG MODE

Line : 234
File : emailer.php

Anyone know what is wrong?

Well..what is line 234 on emailer.php and the lines around it

i juse phpbb and i have not had this problem beofore....when are you getting this message? When you try to install it?>

What? You don't have a program which counts the lines for you? SHAME!!!!

It's work fine until now...the problem seems to be that is say there is an error, but still sends the PM. I have found out that the server I am hosted on doesn't allow smtp anymore .
I tried making the smtp server gmail, but it doesn;t work. At the moment I think that the problem is that it wont send an email to someone who requests it in their profile. (For example, Send me an email when PM arrives). I sort of fixed the problem by adding (when I say sort of, I mean the email wont be sent, but no error will be displayed)...I added:

return true;

into th php code

Cud it be to do with the server you've installed it on - I had the problem where the server won't allow emails to be sent anon so I had to reroute the SMTP to another server with the PHP Ini file. My page, http://www.gorkite.com/mailinglistsubscribe.php works just fine now

The reason it says that is because the server is not sending the emails properly. Your email server is not accepting the emails. If anyone can understand that...

AHA...i no whats wrong...i think. This just happened to my site. It was having a problem sending out the email with my smpt email address. So i contact support for my server. They replied that their limit on there servers for one email was for only 50 people....so they had a restriction that wouldn't let you send more than that. That might be the problem.
