Flash at 800x600 or 1024x768?

This website I made for this band is kind of small at 800x600, but I didn't want it to be that big for the few people who still have 800x600. Is it worth just making it 1024x768? The url is

IMO - relying so strongly on Flash was your first mistake. You see the first problem with it - lack of scaling to different res.
Others:
- people who are blind are unable to acces the site
- people who want to resize font size, etc can't do it

thanks, but I don't really know much else, and the band likes it. Still, 800x600, or 1024x768? The band doesn't know any blind people, and if so, I would create it then, but so far, there is no blind audience. I wish I knew how to create a cool non-flash site, but that takes a lot of skill.

Uhmm...of course there's no blind audience on the site - screeen readers can't acces it because of Flash. And BTW, music sites are one of the most popular amongst the people who can't see (guess why...)...
Anyways, it's your choice, if you and the band want to irritate people (yes, there's a large percent of people who ignore flash sites even if they can see) and drag them off the site just because you don't want to learn something better...go for it.

1. k, zima, sry i was an ignorant fool 2. i try to learn other stuff, but, c'mon, can you really do cool stuff like that with html? 3. I might create an html only version of the site so it would be better, but I cannot configure frontpage to loop the audio file cause its mp3, and i even converted it to wav for that purpose but it still didnt work. 4. I don't know html 5. Thanks for backing me up, Darren,
jk. Would it work if I created like 3 buttons at the beginning, like Small (800x600), medium (1024x 76 large (1280x1024)? and at the side have a link for an html page, cause I am willing to change, I just need to learn how.

IMO, really, really don't rely so much on Flash - it's not a guaranteed way o have nice looking site, trust me
It's good basically only for stand alone animations, intros (BUT WITH CLEARLY VISIBLE "SKIP" BUTTON!) and eventually animated logo (LOGO, NOT MENU!) at the top of the page, in which you could embed music (WITH CLEARLY VISIBLE "MUTE" BUTTON!)
Also, do you really think HTML is all there is except Flash? Personally I's suggest steering somewhere in the direction of XHTML/CSS... Oh, and no need for "choosing resolution" then, site could scale itself (BTW, do you really think everybody even know what "screen resolution" is/what resolution they are running?)

how do u make a site scale itself? and I don't know any of those other types like XHTML and CSS. I mean, if I knew the other types, I would incorporate them. But the fact is I don't. And I would like to learn them, but I don't really know where to start.

You should go with 800x600. Or, you could give the user the option to launch the flash page in 800x600 or 1024x768. Giving both options would probably be the best idea.
