A lot of the freebies on my site are US and since I don't have a US ip, the only way for me to check them out is to use a US proxy. I've read a few posts of people signing on to proxys then clicking on their own ads and I strongly recommend you DONT do this because most of these proxies are tracked and you can get in trouble..just a thought

Proxies can have their uses. Again, there are sometimes things you can only get done by using a regional one.brI don't see this as a bad thing for some innocuous activities, such as people using a US proxy to obtain a Gmail (rather than Googlemail) address.brbrHowever, 99% of the time that I span style="font-style: italic;"do/span see people using proxies, it's because they have something to hide, and for good reason.brA good example is moronic banned members trying to slither back in here to spam.brbrWhen any activity raises the slightest amount of suspicion, the first course of action is generally to check the IP address.brWhen it's identified as a proxy, the person is assumed to be up to no good, and treated accordingly.brSome are well known and familiar, and are blocked as a matter of course.brbrHiding behind a proxy is like walking around with a bag over your head. People will not see your face, but they span style="font-style: italic;"will/span notice you.brbr

Proxies are cool if your are at school or work and they think you are blocked out from your accessing your favorite websites. Mondine stated, when they are misused to gain access to Forums the users have been banned from, it isn't so cool. Yes, every user has a distinguishable style of writing or fingerprint, which is usually recognizable once they begin posting again.BR

I don't use proxies, because the publics are *really* slow, (and I don't wanna pay for one faster,) and I *really* don't have anything to hide. If I will need sometime to use a proxy, I will, that's sure.
