It might be ranked by those guys but if you ask around IPB is one of the top 3 choices. A personal opinion is always better than one given by a company.

I saw the list and that only shows the TOP forums not the forum software.

I think he wanted to point out that none of the top 50 forums use IPB.

To tell you the truth, I've always preferred MyBB and it's past variants. It may be downloaded at this site.
Most people are switching to MyBBoard due it's ease of use, similar to phpBB. It's basic graphical interface is akin to IPB. It's code is based off vB so it provides efficiency of different levels.

MyBB looks like a merge between phpBB and vB. I might use it sometime.

#43 on that list has IPB. Its probably because IPB costs a lot.
