We are collecting a list of web hosts that you, yes YOU recommend and placing it here.

To submit a Host, you Must PM me the site name, url, catagory, and the reason why you feel they are worthey of being put on this thread.

Note: You must have 25 non-spam posts and above to be eligible to suggest a host. This is to discourage spammers advertising their services. We want opinions and comments from users themselves.

Web hosts are divided into 7 catagories:

Catagory 1 - Free web hosts and instant activation

Catagory 2 - Free web hosts but require application

Catagory 5 - Free forum hosting

Catagory 6 - Free image hosting

Dreamhost (http://dreamhost.com) is a really good host, I use it and it has been the best (free or paid) that I've used. It is more than some budget hosts but I think it offers greater value for money with SVN, CVS, PHP, Python, MySQL, 200GB of space (per mo.), 2 TB of transfer (per mo.). Also your space and transfer limit increases every week. I really recommend it.

EDIT: Dreamhost is a paid hosting company.

I used dreamhost before, but have migrated my sites to GeckoDomains after I experienced some problems

with them. Some of my friends were using this geckodomains company and were very happy. I'm happy I did move as I'm not a very experienced webmaster and they have been a great help (so far) and their controle panel with software is amazing.

If you have ( in this forum i guess most of us) more then 1 domain name/site then i would go with hostmonster .I like then since
-unlimited domain
-great customer support
-preinstalled softwares
-decent hosting price
-You can edit the uploaded files form the server ( i love this one) . I dont have download the file and then upload it. saves a lot of time
