Does anything like this exist?
Hey everyone,
I have a quick question about hosting. If I currently have a domain name that I have purchased, are there any hosting companies that offer quality hosting for free since I already have a domain name? I haven't heard of any companies that do this, but I just wanted to ask and make sure before I go and purchase a hosting plan. Thanks, ccflyer |

hosting
There are companies that do that???? i have never heard of them. I've heard of ISP's giving their users free ftp access, and stuff like that, so that you could redirect a dns name there... but i've never come across hosting like that. I paid alot for my hosting, but if you clock up some posts in here you'll be able to get some cheap hosting for a blog or something! But if you want good hosting you have to pay for it... theres an idea Google Hosting Services, with integrated site search...

All hosts do that. If you bought a domain name, www.gogoogle.com, for example, from Yahoo! Domains, and you bought hosting from any site, you could have www.gogoogle.com forward to that site. Domains never come with hosting.
