I think that is good advice, many people do not realize the fee that must concur. Remember too, if you ever need to transfer the domain across the pond from U.S. to U.K., it will cost around $40.00 USD or 23.0752 GBP. I realize this is probably uncommon for most people, but I was hit with it earlier this year and I had no idea beforehand.

If you purchase a domain for $8.95 at GoDaddy , you will recieve this:
NEW! **Ad-supported
Quote:
Hosting
with Web site builder
NEW! Complete Email($9.95 value)
Starter Web Page
"For Sale" Page
Free Parked Page
Getting Started Guide Domain Forwarding & Masking
100-Pack Email Forwarding
Total DNS Control
Change of Registration
Status Alerts
Domain Locking

** Ad-supported Web sites contain relevant online advertising on a small portion of the site, but DO NOT include obtrusive pop-up ads.
They will work hard for your satisfaction, too. Average wait time for phone calls is 10-12 minutes. Most problems can be resolved onsite or through eMail communication. I'm picky and they have made me a happy customer.

It will depend on your hosting company. The one I mentioned doesn't have such a fee.

If you are looking for hosting then you can buy from us. Once we get $170 per month from all our customers then we will buy a server with better speed and uptime.

I can host you for free, you will probably need to buy a domain from yahoo.com or godaddy.com

Exclamation Officelive.com has free domain registration

You can get free domain registration and a basic CMS from Officelive.com.

I think Yahoo might be doing the same thing.
