Bravenet webhosting
I think Bravenet is a good web hosting service overall. It has quite a big bandwidth allowance for a free hosting site and offers LOADS of free web tools to incorporate in your site. However, it does have some downsides:
- Limited file types and sizes (they don't allow things like php which is a nuisance!) - They do not allow "remote linking of images". This means that if you try and put a link to an image that you have uploaded onto bravehost, the image appears as "remote linking of images is not allowed". I think bravenet should change this policy as this disability has flaws. For example, sometimes all the images on my own bravenet site are disallowed. Does anyone else share my views. Another thing is, does anyone know if there are any free hosting sites which allow you to use php and mySQL etc...please help me, as I would like to try some php programming - at the moment I am limited to things like javascript and HTML because I have nowhere to try out my scripts!!! If you are wondering what bravenet is, it can be found at www.bravenet.com - overall, I would recommend it for the free services which it allows you to use...if only they allowed more file types and got rid of the "remote linking of images not allowed" as this can really get on a webmaster's nerves. |

I used to use bravenet when it first opened it doors way back in ...., well a long time ago anyway!
I tried the hosting once and it was alright apart from some stuff, but I've heard some people say it's improved, I would try it if I was looking for free hosting but I'm not, though I'm going to try my bravenet accounts now and see what’s happening, I have 2 that should work!

Bravenet webhosting
Bravenet are by far the best free hosting website I have come across through extensive Google searching...its the remote linking of images that gets me down....I put it on bravehost and tried to put it on another site, and it came up as "remote linking of images not allowed"...I had to set up a new online photo account from photobucket.com just to be able to put an image online. Bravenet does have a lot of benefits which make up for this slight problem
