Is Gmail being extremely slow for anybody else today? It also keeps timing out.

Gmail has always worked fine for me. They should be able to scale to handling millions of users - like Google search.
It's got to be quite an expensive endeavor, and I'm not sure how those little text ads pay for it. |

i had probs with 2 of my gmail accts today...said system couldnt process request and said the server was down and to try again in a few minutes. I think its all the mass invites being sent out, accepted and bought. Gmail is getting a bit big for its britches now

ok, now I do... hehehe! Gmail is taking a bit longer to load now. around 30 seconds after logging in before the inbox is displayed. sometimes, I just click refresh while it's still loading and it'll open it up faster. it seems like Firefox takes longer to load the Java app than Internet Explorer does... does anyone else notice this?
