If you than what is your feelings
on reading those along with the movies

Yes, I'm a big fan of his. I've seen the Bourne Supremacy movie and thought it was good. Matt Damon plays the roll of Jason very well. As usual, the movies are much different than the books. The books are always better, too, read the books first.  I own all of them written in his lifetime. Which is your favorite? Mine include, The Scarlatti Inheritance, The Icarus Agenda, The Chancellor Manuscript and The Matlock Paper.

Read Tom Clancy's The Cardinal Of the Kremlin and you'll agree Ludlums the archetype for his style of writing. His character 'Jack Ryan' is similar to 'Jason Bourne', too. Is your handles inspiration from the book The Day of the Jackal?

| Actually, the first book of the Bourne Trilogy, "The Bourne Identity" is the best. The movies have just a lot of action, no story really. The action is good. It is fast enough to suspend any thinking. "The Road to Omaha" by Robert Ludlum is good. I found "The Gemini Contenders" and "The Rhineman Exchange" predictable after reading about half way through. "Prometheus Deception" is OK, but the concept of a big brother watching over everyone seems more real now than ever before. |

I've seen both movies so far, and read only the Bourne Supremacy, which
I got at a library sale. I agree that books are usually better than the
movies made for them, and this was no exception. The book has an actual
plot, and character development. This is not to say that I didn't like
the movies though. They were excellent as well.

Yes I am a fan of Robert Ludlum and I do have all three Bourne books. Jason Bourne is one of my favorite all-time characters. I like the way he was made to be the ultimate human weapon. I was completely shocked when I saw the movie version, it was good but it did not remain faithful to the book it was taken from. For me the literary installments of Ludlum's coolest character are far better than its movie version.
