Anil Kumble became the first Indian and fifth cricketer to claim 500 wickets in the history of Test cricket on Saturday.

The Karnataka leg spinner reached the milestone when he dismissed Stephen Harmison leg before wicket in England's first innings on the third day of the second Test in Mohali.

The 35-year old bowler, playing his 105th Test, joined the list that includes Shane Warne (659), Muttiah Muralitharan (600), Glenn McGrath (542) and Courtney Walsh (519).

YEs Anil Kumble has done a great work.

As a team we are not having killing sprit to win the matches .Records making is somehting and winning as team is something different.

anil kumble is a great player.
he has served the team for so many years now.
he is a great bowler,producing variations in his length and getting wickets.
his greatest achievement was when he got ten wickets in an innings in delhi in 1999.
that was a great match where he played to his potential and showed his class.
he has been in and out of the team for so many years now but he hasnt yet given up despite being so old.
he has great temperament and he has made the indian team proud.
i hope he gets 1000 wickets as he deserves them.
