A nifty site I found with some interesting articles about what Google might be doing next.

Hmm... strange. Maybe Google does want to create a service called "Google Checkout", and even has the domain name for it, but the kind of people they are, you don't know anything until the last moment.
In fact, they could even be preparing for next year's April Fools bash. But I hope its a new service.
And I never knew that Google owned www.googlemastercard.com. Well, maybe that's for the future ahead, when they'll probably be much more than a $100 billion company.

Well, it's also a comment on the somewhat sad state of affairs that fortunes can be made, or saved, by domain squatting.
Any large company can not afford to not sit an a domain name that might be used in the future,
might be used by someone else in a misleading way in the future, or could even be a misspelling of a name that could come into use.

From GoogleStore.com (shop, with domain registration registered to Google Inc), if you click on Europe, you are taken to Google-Store.com (shop, with domain registered to Andrew Lindsay).
On this page it says:

Produced for Google Inc. by Merchandise Mania Limited.

Why doesn't Google just run it's own shop, like the American one.
And why does Google use .asp (Microsoft) to run it's shop. I thought Microsoft were the competition. Confused

It looks like they use .asp only for their North and South American sites, on Google Store. The others are all .php.
Strange. Confused
