I want to delete an account but I can not find the delete option. I searched help, found the instructions and they didn't line up with what looks like a new Google Account's settings page. Does anybody know anything or can anybody help me?

Are you sure you're starting in the right place for your Google Account?

If you log in on this page, you should see "My services - Edit"
at the top of the right-hand column.

Clicking "edit" there should give you a page where "Delete Gmail Service" is one of the choices.
