Hi,

My company is a well-established Microsoft Dynamics Vendor in New York.We want to get more sales leads through our website, and Google Adwords has obviously worked for many people. We're rebuilding the website and we are going to have the appropriate keywords put in our webpages(in "View Source"). 500 dollars is the starting budget for the campaign(If all goes well, that can definetly increase). My questions are:

1-Assuming that Google ranks our webpage in the 1st page under Sponsored links when people search for our keywords, how many "clicks-per month" we can expect?

2-Is it better to have Google decide the appropriate cost per click or should we come up with a number that we think will work most effectively?

I'll appreciate all the help and advise I can get.My computer skills are very basic so I apologize in advance for sounding silly.

Thanks,
Kerim

AdWords works as a "bidding" system. The ad that brings most money to Google gets to be displayed (or actually the 4 best ones... or so).

So if you have a 1$ click ad, but that only one per 1000 people click on, google will be better off with a 0.02$ ad that every second people click on.

So you must build good ads. Other than, you have to choose your price - google will not 'do' it for you.

You can setup a daily budget (i.e. no more than 5$ a day) which is always a good idea, just in case you do something horribly wrong.

There's also a traffic estimator somewhere in AdWords, if memory serves.

I hope this helps... I'm not an AdWords master Wink

The amount of clicks per month depends on the search volume for your keywords and your daily budget.

I would recommend using your own c-p-c calculation. Start low and see whrere that places your ads and increase your bids if need be, or make your site more relevant to the keywords in question. If you site is optomized for certain keywords, your c-p-c should be very low.

Hope this helps
