well, I lost the password to my account in march ... and then I just
left that account .. because I forget the answer to the secret question
and also I had no access the the secondary email ... after march ..
when I tried to log in yesterday .. it was similar .. i want to know ..
after how long gmail deletes an account and can I re-register with the
same name ..??? |

Nine months is the answer you're looking for. So, if you last logged in in March, your account should be deleted sometime this month, in December.

All email services delete username after a certain period of inactivity (though email accounts directly given by ISPs don't get deleted).
Mostly the period is of one, two or three months. Gmail's is longer than most.

this is what I received from Google Team, when I inquired about this issue from them
In addition, after nine consecutive months of non-use, Google deletes all
existing messages within your account, and closes the account.
Once a Gmail account is closed, it can't be re-enabled and the username
can't be reused. Also, there's currently no way to access or forward the
contents of a deleted Gmail account.
I wont be able to re-register the same username again.

That's strange. Gmail's help section says something a bit different:
| Google wrote: | After nine consecutive months of inactivity, Google may delete the account and all messages within that account.
If your dormant account is deleted, we can't guarantee that your username will be made available again. Make sure to log in to Gmail regularly! |
They say that the username might come up again. I got this from here. I guess you'd better get an invitation and check everyday or something. I can give you an invitation, if you'd like one.

well the invitation is to open a gmail account,i can give you one too,just give me your id and also a gmail accout is by far the best as you might be knowing it.

You can check whether the username you want is up for use again, but only through an invitation. That's why I said you'll need an invitation.
