| My friend got a gmail account through www.gmailswap.com and it works. The problem is that he isn't getting any invites from Gmail. So he thought it had something to do with it not being active. So he asked us to spam him with emails and we did, but unfortunately, he still has no invites. He also tried emailing from his gmail account, and it still didn't work. Anybody know what's wrong or anybody else have this problem? |

I've been trying for two days to get a gmail account from them. Unfortunately, no one has given me one. But I'll get lucky... eventually.
It says on that site that it's a matter of lottery. So maybe your friend was just unlucky and didn't get any? |

Honestly It's random luck, ive talked to SERVERAL ppl who has Gmail and no matter how active you are, it's random luck! But i do know that the "first" Beta testers (like ppl that got accounts in April) are the ones more like to get invites!

| I got my account a little over a month ago and I've gotten quite a few invites over the past 2 weeks. People on these forums with 5+ posts will be given first priority, as a thank-you for supporting Google Community.com. |

The problem had to do with cookies and MYIE2. He also had to disable the popup filter. Yeah, now he has like 6 invites.

The invites I am pretty sure use some sort of random system. I don't think being active will help.

| About a month ago, it seemed clear that the people who had submitted bug reports/were more active got invites first. More recently it has become more or less random. |

| it seems like Gmail handing out invites has again been slowed down these past few days. been to a few forums and free invite lists are seemingly getting backed up. I've only had my account for four days so I haven't gotten my first batch yet, but for those of you who have previously been given the privelage to send these out, when was the last time you were given any? |
