google has promised a lot of thing but we are without any news
first what news about SIP or linux voice ports ?
why google does not open its servers to gizmo ?
gizmo is compatible because usage of XMPP protocol

no good way to find users on google when it will be possible

Hmm, Why don't you ask them? And cite your sources where Google said they'll be adding such features.

This is what I think, remember this is only my opinion.

I see Google updating Google Talk as needed with basic features keeping it simple and light weight. Third party developers are starting to get in on the action with applications and plug ins at the same time keeping Google Talk with the capability and option to be compatiable with other IM clients.

Just my 2 cents, but I can see that happening.
