thats interesting, but i dont really think it has anything to do with anything. google has so many servers and computers, that i dont think it would effect anything right away at least.

What do you mean it won't affect anything! It'll affect AMD and Intel! AMD will be raking in the profits now, meaning a wider budget for developing better processors. _________________ Football Rumours | Gloog |

I personally perfer AMD over Intel. I think that AMD is more cutting edge... Who had the first consumer 64 bit chip available??? Also they are more reasonable in their pricing. I have been using AMD chips for a long time and they hold up to abuse much better than their Intel equals... _________________

I'm a huge fan of these processors. Most of the new builds going out to Lockheed-Martin here in Fort Worth are AMD. Good news this past week they increased the speed. I'm the proud papa of a really good domain for these CPU's, but I want stink up the forum with it. Value is always a good thing, though. Go Socket 939's!
Check this.

OK, it should have been phrased, "Who had the first consumer 64 bit chip available that the vast majority of consumers will actually end up buying???" _________________ Mary had a little lamb, she tied it to a pylon. Ten-thousand volts went up its bum, and turned its wool to nylon. |

I prefer AMD as well... But supposedly Intel is coming out with a new processor thats gonna blow the AMD processors out of the water. AMD is supposedly trying to come up with an entirely new idea to compete with it. i'll see if I can find the article. _________________ Sometimes I get the urge to run around naked....then I drink some windex and it keeps me from streaking. |
