What about this idea?

Given that 70%+ of the earth is ocean (not to mention the many freshwater areas), it would be useful to alter the GE client to allow users to fly below water-level to view bathymetry (i.e. essentially ocean, lake and river-floor data).

 

It would be just great (and very educational) to be able to 'fly' through some of these areas. Some of these ocean trenches and ridges and rift lakes are extremely interesting. If the GE team were to add such a feature, they could perhaps add a mild blue hue for below water-level visualization.

 

As users add their own high resolution bathymetry data plus videos / pics / descriptions of say wrecks, vents, reefs, etc., this could become a really compelling user experience.
