When I was a kid, I used to read his books, or should I say "devour" his books. I remember to once spend all night reading Star Beast because I was completely addicted to the plot. By the way, he wrote 44 science fiction books and 3 non-fiction books. Among the science fiction books he wrote is Starship Troopers, of Holywood fame... Fred |

Gah,
Starship Troopers, the movie, was an awful adaptation. It covered about 3 pages of the book and didn't include the awesome mechanized infantry armor.
His books are great. I'd suggest reading about 4 or 5. I like
Stranger in a Strange Land
The Moon is a Harsh Mistress
Starship Troopers
Time Enough for Love
After more than that, you start to feel like he's repeating himself. Also he has a tendency to soapbox. It gets distracting after a while.
Still, quality science fiction. He has very interesting views on alternate sociologies. _________________ Eat More Lemmings |

yes, i'm familiar with robert heinlein. he wrote the very first scifi book i ever read, though i cannot remember the name of it now. i'm sure i'll remember it at 3:30 in the morning. my favorite book of his, like so many others of my generation, is stranger in a strange land. i think that book must have been in just about every backpack in the land during the eary-mid seventies. shalom, rebbetzin oh, i just remembered! it was called something like podcar of Mars! sound familiar , anyone?
