Hello there,
 
I tried joining a authors forum the other day, but couldn't because my email address ended in  gmail.com.
 
Apparently all gmail accounts are banned because they've been used to spam the forum in the past.
 
Anyone heard of this before?  Surely people cause trouble at forums with hotmail or yahoo accounts...
 
Any thoughts...

I've only had this problem where Hotmail and Yahoo addresses are also banned.

Same here. I've seen this when all free accounts are prohibited.

Yes me too. I've never seen where it's exclisuve to GMail.
