Hello,

I have a question about tracking multiple domain aliases with Google Analytics. Does anyone know if they can be tracked separately?

Here's a little more about my setup: Let's call the main website "Toyota.com." The secondary domain, which is only used in print ads, is "BuyAToyota.com." When BuyAToyota.com is entered into the browser's address bar, it resolves as Toyota.com.

As I understand it, Google Analytics will not distinguish between the two, and will report hits to both domains as having been generated by Toyota.com. Am I right about this? Is there any way to have them counted separately?

I think the hits on the report will be the same because they resolve in
one site, but you might see what you're looking for under Martketing Optimization/Refering Source.
I also have the case, domain1 resolves to domain2 and if I check the
report, it indicates how many times the site was referred by domain1.
