I need to know if the Google Team can reset e-mail addresses or figure out why some accounts are not fuctioning properly in their database. Especially with the email I am looking to register; (confidential so not listed)@gmail.com. That is taken but yet when using the "Forgot Password" functionality, it states: That username is not recognized in our database. That clearly states in one phrase that the address is NOT in use and not recorded in their @gmail.com database.
Secondly, the e-mail cannot be e-mailed to. I recieve an immediate Mailer Daemon response when trying pleaing for an account handover and or purchase. I would like to know why this e-mail is somehow "taken" during the registration process of a new Gmail account. I would like to have a reasonable explanation and see if there are any options to resetting this infinitely inactive and unregistered but yet, somehow registered account. _________________ + Moogle |

The greatest likelihood is that the user name belongs to an account that has been deactivated for lack of activity.
If that is the case, and you really like the name, you'd just have to keep trying, to see when it gets released back into the pool.
On the other hand, it may be a name that has just been withheld, possibly for legal, or copyright reasons, etc. _________________
