gg2 has come a long way. i've been using it for about 6 months. it does however need more work (still). i think google has done a good job thus far, though. :] _________________ Gmail Generation (FAQ) - The definitive place for users of Google's Gmail to partake in all on-topic discussion. |

I'm excited about google groups 2, I've been wanting to phase out more of my Yahoo experience on the web. I too , started out using egroups way back when and loved my experience there. At the time I didn't have any perspective, but I quickly gained it when Yahoo bought them out. It seems that they amass huge data bases and neglect to upgrade their servers/services as they go. I've been turned off by yahoo groups ever since. They do have nice intergration making it very easy to toggle around within their portal, but it has always felt impersonal and clunky to me. _________________

Well you guys, I'm no longer a member of any 'google groups 2', lack of subject matter and participation were the big reasons. I'll try again later down the road when it seems more appealing. I don't like the interface either, IMO, they need a new look with better functionality. _________________
