I have XP Professional and while the computer is starting up, it stays on the Welcome screen for 3-4 mins. After that, it boots up fine!

It's a lot more time than normal. Otherwise, the computer is working fine.

Any idea what could be the problem?

You could try emptying the Prefetch folder.
It can sometimes build up over time.

You are most likely having hardware issues...(e.g printer, externed usb devices etc...) or even your hard drive.  Trying turning all of your external devices off.

Good Luck !!

Hey, the issue is resolved.

I am not exactly sure what resolved it but I tried to remove some stuff from my hard disk. May be that did it!

Thank you everyone for your help!
