Ok, (begining rant) my company's new site has been indexed for a couple of weeks and the backlinks are still only a 9. For some reason, G. has not given credit for the back links internally (should be around 50) where each page in the site links to the home page, nor does it show any link credit from another site which added a text link to us that shows up on every page of the other site (about 200 pages).

Yet our competitor has the benefit of having their internal backlinks show in G. and there is no way we can top them in G. that I can see until the baclinks are sorted out.

I know it's early, but dangnabit, I want results now

If you search for the backlinks in Google search, you should be able to see the backlinks from one site by clicking on show supplemental results. If that doesn't work, Google might not have indexed your internal pages.

Yeah, you may want to check first all the pages indexed on your site. Submit your site to link directories and you can create articles and press releases and submit them to article and press release directories.
